This message has been a few weeks in the making.
Recently a people have asked me to explain how we received some recent statues or relics that are now on our grounds.  I also want to give an update on the renovation project as well.
The first is the Mary statue that is on the edge of the north parking lot at the St. Francis Campus.  That arrived about 2 years ago.  I will attach a picture to the bottom of this note.
This was actually my grandmother‘s statue.  This has been in my family for over 40 years.  It was at her first home that my dad grew up in, and then when she moved in with us, at our home as well.  Everyday my grandmother would pray three rosaries in front of that statue.  At the end of her life she could see it out the back window and still prayed those Rosaries.
It came to me when my parents sold the house and thought that Grandma Phelps would want it with me.  It has always been an outside statue and with thousands of rosaries prayed on it, after prayer it seemed like a good place to have it overlooking people entering into Mass.  It is old, but the beauty is the number of prayers for healing, peace, guidance, especially rosaries and consecrations made in front of that statue.
The second new thing in our campuses is a new relic in the Church of Incarnation.  This relic is a relic of St. Francis of Assisi.  This came to me just a short amount of time ago.  We had been praying about how to have things that could connect our two campuses together more readily.  We already share boxes with every family from both campuses that are registered and/or who also go to our school.  They are in front of the Mary statues in each church due to the consecration of Our Lady of Light Family to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the Solemnity of the Annunciation.
About 2 months ago I received a call from a deacon from another parish.  He said that he had just been given a relic of St. Francis of Assisi.  He thought about it and realized that it was a better fit in this family.  I was happy to receive It.  After praying about I thought it would be a good addition to our Incarnation Campus to connect our campuses together more.  As of right now, the relic is on top of the Ambry in a display box.
These are just two things we have on our campuses.  Please make sure to visit all the different prayer opportunities that we have on our campuses.
Lastly, we have an update on the renovation project.  We are getting bids on our first major undertaking of the renovation.  That is for the roof at Incarnation.  Please keep that in your prayers.  We should have the finished drawings soon from the architecture firm.  Once we have those I can share those with you.
Coming soon I will also have a state of the family report to update you on all of the Beacons of Light updates and where we are as a family.  Thank you very much for all of your faithfulness and devotion.
In Christ,
Fr. Brian
