Children are Precious

This time, I thought of sharing my ministry here at Incarnation, in particular to training the Altar Servers.

In the month of May 2022, along with our school 8th graders, I went on the Washington DC trip.

On July 14, 2022 we took our parish Altar Servers to King’s Island.

While I accompanied the children on those two trips and while I train them to become altar servers, what I have observed is – they have questions anywhere they go. From simple to serious questions, children are looking for knowledge and answers.

So, if we are able to guide them and show them the right path, for sure they are going to be a great treasure for our parish and society at large.

I still remember well, after one of the children’s Friday Masses, while I was in the vestibule a parishioner pointing at the lovely kids inside the church said “Father, they are our future!”

I was deeply touched by those great words! Those words have encouraged me to do my duty even more zealously in training the altar servers.

In typing the servers letters, visiting their classrooms and asking the children to become altar servers, setting up dates to train them, finding SafeParish trained adults to help me in training the servers when the dates are not working well for someone, I am even ready to train them separately.

All these things sometimes look laborious. But I love doing it, because I know for sure that I am doing my little part to strengthen the “future faith of our parish.”

Let us offer all the children in our parish and across the world to Jesus Who said “Let the little children come to Me, do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” [Mt.19:14]

I have gathered this Prayer to Infant Jesus published by EWTN.  I kindly request you to pray the this prayer to Infant Jesus for all children in this world.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Divine Infant Jesus, I know You love me and would never leave me. I thank You for Your close Presence in my life.

Miraculous Infant, I believe in Your promise of peace, blessings, and freedom from want. I place every need and care in Your hands.

Lord Jesus, may I always trust in Your generous mercy and love. I want to honor and praise You, now and forever.  Amen.
