Church of the Incarnation’s Youth Ministry

Summit YM

The Youth Ministry Program is for all high school aged students.  The program is designed around four key elements:

-Social

-Spiritual

-Educational

-Spiritual/Prayer

By focusing on four different elements of a person, we hope to reach students on a number of different levels and help form well rounded spiritual people who are on fire about their faith.

Currently Summit YM meets on Thursday Nights in the PAC from 7-8:30.

Meet Our Youth Minister

My name is Danny Dunn! I have been here at Incarnation since 2009. I went to John Carroll for my undergrad and also received a Master’s Degree in Theology from the University of Dayton. I’m originally from the Cincinnati area and I LOVE the Reds! My wife, Heather, and I were married in 2009 and we have three boys of our own (Caleb 2010, Micah 2013, and Jacob 2016). I love sports and anything competitive. I love being outside especially when it is warm. I’ve been doing ministry for more than 15 years professionally and I have a passion for helping teens and families understand who God is and how that fits into today’s world!

Fun Facts:
Favorite Candy: Twizzlers or Heath
Best Concert I’ve ever been to: Garth Brooks (I love Country Music)

Mission Trips

2022 Mission Trip Information

Franciscans for the Poor: June 12-17

Franciscans for the Poor: This mission trip focuses on exposing our participants to the Franciscan traditions of simplicity, service, community, and prayer.  Students will spend a week living simply in community with one another while serving in various service agencies in the greater Cincinnati area.  We provide the housing, food, and service assignments, as well as social, educational, and prayer opportunities throughout the experience. For more information visit: http://franforthepoor.org/

 Available Spots:    25 youth & 5 Adults

*suggested for students who are rising 9th-11th graders

Father Beiting Appalachian Mission Center: July 24-29

FBAMC: Our mission trip will include Mass, reflection time, service, community building, small groups, and free time. The FBAMC is a home for many projects to help the poor and homeless in Appalachia, providing emergency assistance to needy families. While in Appalachia, we will be staying in volunteer housing provided by the organization, where we will make our own meals and be living as a community. Our service experience will be primarily working with families by helping to rebuild rural areas working directly with a homeowner or business owner.  I have been to Louisa many times and each time I find God’s grace in a more profound way!

 Available Spots:    22 youth & 8 Adults

*suggested for students who are rising 11th graders-graduated seniors

Who can attend?

Mission Trips are open to all high school youth. That means that if you are currently in High School or in 8th grade, you are eligible to go. If you have never been involved in any youth function here at Incarnation, but would still like to join our mission trip experience, you are more than welcome!

How do I sign up?

Click THIS LINK  and send a check for the $300 to Danny Dunn made out to “Incarnation Youth Ministry.” You can send it through school, to the parish offices, or drop it in the collection basket on Sunday in an envelope marked to go to Danny.

Total Cost

Total Expected Out of pocket Cost: $300.

The total cost of each of the mission trips are about $650 per person including the programing, food, travel expenses, and preparation materials. However, our fundraising efforts will help to offset these costs. This year, we are working with our budget to offset much of the cost so we can keep it to $300 per person.

**Buy out option: If you would rather not participate in fundraising and write a check for the trip you can choose this option. This cost would be $550. You will still get the money we are using from the youth ministry budget.

Scholarships

If the cost is the only reason you are hesitant in signing up, please know that full & partial scholarships are available upon request. We don’t want anyone to miss out on this amazing faith experience due to financial hardship.
