What I Do:

Michaela Dean
As Youth & Young Adult Minister, I am responsible for evangelizing High School Youth and Young Adults (ages 14-39). My mission is to help youth and young adults come to know and love the persons of the Trinity, empowering them to answer what God is calling them to do in their lives and be missionary disciples in the world.
About me:
I am originally from Delaware, Ohio, but I went to college at Clemson University in South Carolina where I majored in Botany and minored in Biosystems Engineering. I moved to Centerville in September of 2020 to be an agronomy consultant. At Clemson I converted to the Catholic faith while hordes of my peers were leaving, and I have been volunteering and helping to lead my peers closer to God ever since. I have been with my boyfriend Matthew for almost 7 years, and I live with two very needy roommates, my black cats Phantom and Poe. When I’m not busy with the ministry I enjoy animal crossing video game, crafting, archery, gardening, paddle boarding, swing dancing, and making gin.
Favorite Saint:
I wear a necklace, which holds ten saint medals that I periodically switch out (or it gets too heavy!). Some of the saints are: Mother Mary, St. Joseph, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Benedict, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Padre Pio, St. Catherine of Sienna, St. Michael, St. Augustine, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Hildegard of Bingen, and Mother Teresa of Calcutta, among many more.
Favorite Bible Quote:
Do not conform yourself to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2
